PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Girl's Spring Recreational Lacrosse Teams
February-mid May

Divisions (based on birthdate):
- 8U: Born Sept 1, 2010 - Aug 31, 2012
- 10U: Born Sept 1, 2008 - Aug 31, 2010
- 12U: Born Sept 1, 2006 - Aug 31, 2008
- 14U: Born Sept 1, 2004 - Aug 31, 2006

Assessment Day for 12U & 14U Divisions: Saturday February 9, 2019
- Pierce Farm
- 14U: 9:00-11:00
- 12U: 10:30-12:30
- Assessment day is used to assess skill level of all players in order to create teams of even strength. This is NOT a "try-out" -- there are NO "cuts"
- Those without any formal lacrosse experience will be grouped together and be given an introduction to lacrosse session
- Bring your lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard and water. Cleats are recommended.

Practices:
- Central Raleigh (Kiwanis Park or Fletcher Park)
- Saturday mornings beginning February 23 (practices will be replaced by games starting in March)
- 2 weekday evenings, 6:00-7:30 pm, from March 12-early May (8U practices only 1 evening per week)
- Please note, we are unable to determine practice days prior to the beginning of the season (February); practices will be either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs)

Games:
- Recreational teams participate in the North Carolina Girls Lacrosse League
- Playdays are held at various locations around the triangle on Saturday mornings beginning in mid-March and ending on May 4
- There are 2 games played on each playday 

Equipment:
- Each player must provide their own girls lacrosse stick, goggles and a colored mouth guard
- We encourage those new to lacrosse to ask us about equipment purchasing (contact [email protected])
- Uniforms are provided by NCLA ($70 deposit returned upon receipt of uniform at the end of the season)

Cost: 
- 8U: $190
-10U: $200
-12U: $215
-14U: $215

Registration fees cover:

- Coaches Stipends
- Field Rentals
- Officials fees
- Required Team Insurance
- Equipment and administrative costs


NCGLL GAmes will begin mid-March and run until Mothers days.  Games will be on Saturdays. There will be 1 or 2 games per Saturday, they will be at the same site. NCLA teams participate in the One Love Playday ( for 5/6th grade and 7/9th grade teams) and the Danny Fox Playday (elementary and Middle School teams)
